You can use the Comparison Report to review how a check-out differs from its linked check-in, room by room. It helps you spot what stayed the same, what improved, and what was downgraded.
Step by step
- Open the check-out inspection you want to review from your inspections list or property record.
- On the inspection, click View Comparison Report.
- Review the summary at the top to see the total number of items marked Unchanged, Downgraded, and Improved.
- Use the Check-in and Check-out dates to confirm which two inspections are being compared.
- Scroll through the room cards to review changes room by room.
- Rooms are matched by room name.
- For matched rooms, the totals at the top are calculated from the condition values recorded on both inspections for walls, floors, and fixtures.
- Each row shows the check-in condition, the check-out condition, and whether that item had No change, was Downgraded, or Improved.
- If notes were added on either inspection, you can compare the Check-in notes and Check-out notes for that room.
- Click Back when you are finished to return to the previous screen.
Good to know
The comparison is only available when the check-out inspection is linked to a check-in and shows the View Comparison Report option.
- If a room appears in the check-out but not in the linked check-in, it is shown as a new room and is not compared against earlier room data.
- If you open a comparison and there is no linked check-in, comparison is not available for that inspection.
